Yankton : South Dakota

A city in Yankton County, the community was named after Sioux tribe. Yankton is on the Missouri River, at the Nebraska border covering a total area of 20.7 km² (8.0 mi²) of which 20.1 km² (7.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (3.00%) is water.

The city is known locally as River City, and the Key City.

Longitude: 97.39 W

Population: 13,716 as on 2005
